Thank you for investing in your marriage this summer! We’re excited that you’ve chosen to take the 8 Great Dates summer challenge! Below you’ll see a list of suggested date ideas. Feel free to add some of your own! The purpose of this challenge is to be intentional about spending time together and strengthening your relationship this summer.

Once you’ve completed eight dates, you can fill out the “Completed The Challenge” form below. For those who complete the challenge by Sunday, August 11, you’ll be contacted by a member of our marriage ministry team about how to claim your prize!


10 Great Date Ideas 

  1. KARAOKE AT HOME - Create a playlist together! Take turns turning the music up loud and singing some of your favorite tunes together.

  2. LIVE CONCERT - Go enjoy a concert together!

  3. ROAD TRIP - Take a long drive together while you listen to your favorite playlist. You don’t need a destination, just make time for good tunes and conversation.

  4. FARMER’S MARKET - Go and peruse one of our local farmer’s markets together. Nothing says romance like fresh fruits and veggies!

  5. MINITURE GOLF - There’s nothing more fun than a little friendly competition. Go play around of putt-putt golf together!

  6. VOLUNTEER TOGETHER - Find a local charity or ministry to go and serve with together.

  7. HOMEMADE ICE CREAM - Make homemade ice cream together! And if that doesn’t turn out well, there is no shame in moving your date to the Dairy Queen!

  8. CATCH A GAME TOGETHER - There are many sporting events happening in our area. Why not go check out a Jumbo Shrimp (baseball) game or cheer on our Jacksonville Icemen (hockey)!

  9. ROOFTOP DINING - Take your dinner date up a notch by checking out some of our local rooftop dining options!

  10. GO EXPLORING - We have a lot of small towns within driving distance. Take a day and go exploring together! You never know what unique and interesting things you’ll discover together.
