Easter in Montreal

Pastor Spike interviewed Raphael Leroux this past Sunday at the Hodges Campus. Raphael is one of the pastors at la Chapelle, our new church planting partner in Montreal. You can watch the 12 minute interview below. Raphael shared about some of the challenges of leading a church in Montreal and about a unique opportunity that they have been given to share the love of Christ this Easter.

As Raphael said in the interview, Easter in Quebec is about two things: a day off from work and chocolate. In an effort to challenge the assumptions that people hold about Easter, la Chapelle has created a marketing campaign, Plus Que Du Chocolat (it's more than chocolate), that invites their city to a special Easter service.

The campaign has attracted the attention of the city subway system and they are giving la Chapelle the opportunity to have signs in the three largest subway stations in Montreal. 300,000 people will walk past these signs each day for the month leading up to Easter. Because of the generosity of our Chets family, we have been able to provide almost $7,000 to la Chapelle to more than cover the cost of the signs.

Thank you, Chets family! It's because of your giving that we are able to support la Chapelle, eight other church plants in the U.S. and Canada, as well as a number of community and global missions partners. Please be in prayer for la Chapelle and all of our partners as they share the love of Christ around the world.
