Sending the Sullivans

We are sad but excited to share that our Chets family will be sending the Sullivan family to serve in New England. Darren, our Pastor of Multiplication and Missions, will begin serving as a Church Planting Catalyst with the North American Mission Board and the Baptist Convention of New England on August 1.

The Sullivans became part of our Chets family in early 2014 when Darren joined our staff to help coordinate our vision of launching Chets Creek campuses around Jacksonville and planting churches in the major cities of the U.S. and Canada. He was an integral part of the launch of our Nocatee and North campuses and also helped lead the re-launch of Epoch Church as our Southside Campus. We have started supporting ten new church plants under Darren’s leadership and he has championed our community and global missions partners. Katie has also been a key part of our ministry over the past few years, serving on the Chets Women Team and in many other ways.

While Darren, Katie, and their sons will be missed here in Jacksonville, we’re so excited for the opportunity that God has given them. New England is an area with a great need of new churches to share the love and hope of Christ. Darren has roots in this part of the country and he will be serving with the North American Mission Board, one of our missions partners. Please pray for the Sullivans as they transition their family and begin this new ministry assignment. We know that God is going to honor their willingness to go and are praying for the many the new churches that will emerge as a result of their ministry.
